Welcome to Beaumont - Lonnie Flanagan's Junk Barn & AMSET

So, we are heading to the Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) to see the Felix Fox Harris exhibit, and along Martin Luther King Blvd is this amazing environment.  Despite the name "Junk Barn" that artist/owner Lonnie Flanagan has endowed, the objects are placed with such balance and juxtaposition that indicates an astute eye.

Another mainstream museum has embraced the possibilities of outsider art. Among the excellent temporary exhibits, this small museum's most dramatic holdings are totems from the yard of Felix "Fox" Harris, which were rescued from the bulldozer after he died.
