News from the Iowa floods

Here is the word from Bill Angrick, the Ombudsman for the state of Iowa...

Kelly,

It has been tragic for many and a challenge for most.  Personally our property has had some lower level flooding where the creek is about a 100 yards back of the house, but no encroachment to structure or seepage.

Cedar Rapids is devastated but I spoke with a person at Mt Mercy College and the Grotto was ok and unthreatened earlier this afternoon.

Saw a cnn story that Baraboo Wisconsin was flooded...don't know what that means for Tom Every and Foevertron

"In Wisconsin, amphibious vehicles that carry tourists on the Wisconsin River were used to evacuate homes and businesses in Baraboo, north of Madison. Hundreds of people lost power in Avoca, west of Madison, and were "strongly encouraged" to evacuate due to flooding, said Chief Deputy Jon Pepper of the Iowa County Sheriff's Department. iReport.com: Duck boats to the rescue"

I have heard nothing about the grotto is West Burlington, IA nor the Palmer College site in Davenport.

Bill Angrick

(If anyone has any information about any of the artists or sites in Wisconsin or Iowa, please let me know.  Not only Tom Every's Forevertron, but Herman Rusch's Forevertron, the Dickeyville Grotto and others...)
